One Day Workshops

Step away from the usual and spend a day learning something new with clay.

One Day Workshops at the Third Space are focused on exploring a specific ceramic technique and understanding what makes it unique. Try Nerikomi, a traditional Japanese technique of stacking, layering, and folding different coloured clays to create patterns that run through the clay itself, or explore Sgraffito, where you scratch and carve through a contrasting layer of colour to reveal the clay underneath.

Each workshop takes you through the process from start to finish, with plenty of room to experiment, play around, and make the technique your own. No prior experience with ceramics is needed — just come ready to get your hands a little messy.

Whatever you create will be finished and, if necessary, trimmed, glazed, and fired by us, ready for you to collect.
