The people behind Pravaha
Pravaha is a design-led ceramic studio, shaped by curiosity, experimentation and a wish to redefine what ceramics can be.
We specialise in ceramic lighting, home décor and bespoke commissions, bringing traditional craftsmanship into conversation with contemporary design.
At its heart, Pravaha is a celebration of material, emotion and meaning.
Founder
Yash Makwana
Yash is an industrial designer from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, who brings craftsmanship, human emotion and storytelling to everything he makes.
Endlessly curious about people and the objects that surround them, he looks at ceramics for everything it could become. Through Pravaha, he brings traditional craft and contemporary design together to create objects that stir feeling, start conversations and become part of people’s own stories.
“‘What if?’ is usually where my favourite ideas begin.”
— Yash
Co-Founder
Param
Param is an industrial designer and CMF specialist from Politecnico di Milano. His practice is research-led, grounded in an understanding of materials, trends and human behaviour, and sharpened by a keen eye for detail, ergonomics and usability.
He believes meaningful design lives where aesthetics, function and intention meet. At Pravaha he brings structure, resilience and quiet determination to ambitious ideas, so that every creation is as thoughtfully engineered as it is beautifully imagined.
“The smallest details often make the greatest difference.”
