Everything you'd like to know before your first class

1. Do I need any prior experience to join a class?

Not at all. Our beginner classes assume you have never touched clay before. We start with the basics and guide you step by step. If you already have some experience, we also run intermediate and advanced classes.

2. Do I need to bring any tools or materials?

No. Clay, tools, and everything else you need for the class are provided by the studio. Just bring yourself and your creativity.

3. Will my clothes get dirty?

Yes, clay can be messy, so we suggest wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Don't worry, The clay comes off with a simple wash!

4. What should I wear to class?

Comfortable clothes that can get dusty or splashed with clay. Short or rolled-up sleeves work best, and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Avoid dangling jewelry and tie back long hair, as both can get in the way while working.

5. Will I get to use the pottery wheel?

Wheel throwing is part of our classes, though beginners often start with hand-building techniques like pinch pots, coils, and slabs to get comfortable with clay first. You can also choose a wheel-focused class if you'd like to start there.

6. How long is each class, and how many people will be in it?

Most classes run about 2 to 3 hours. We keep batches small so every student gets personal attention from the instructor.

7. Do I get to take my creation home?

Yes! Your pieces are dried, fired in our kiln, and glazed by us. Clay needs time to dry and be fired, so you can usually collect your finished pieces in about 2 to 3 weeks. We'll let you know when they're ready.

8. Can I choose the colors and glazes for my piece?

Absolutely. Once your piece has been fired once, you can pick from our range of glaze colors and finishes. Our team is happy to help you choose.

9. Do I need to book in advance, and can I bring a friend or my kids?

Yes, we recommend booking ahead as seats are limited. Friends, couples, and groups are all welcome. We also run classes for children, so please check the class details for age requirements.

10. What if I can't make it to a class I've booked?

Let us know at least 24 to 48 hours in advance and we'll be happy to reschedule you to another batch. Please contact us directly to arrange this. +917977677121
